Walmart jobs? Has anyone out there ever had a job working at walmart and hated it but wanted to stay with the company any way. If so how long did you have to stay in that position before you could be moved

Mr. Q replied: "Have a friend who also worked for Walmart and hated it. Asked to move. Got no satisfaction. Left the company."

hershey3445 replied: "my cuz works there and we get 15% discounts shes worked there for a year now while attending community college"

rhino_man420 replied: "wife been there 8 yrs, we hate walmart"

Jean Pierre J replied: "No I haven`t , but you can go to this site and find some info rgds"

celeste a replied: "yes"

~*Tweety Gurl*~ replied: "Yes, I've worked for Walmart twice within the past 10 years and I absolutely hated it. The first time was from January 1996-July 1998. I didn't want to stay, but the reason I did was because I couldn't afford to quit. Plain and simple. I worked there for almost 3 years before I finally got fed up with their crap and said, "To heck with it!" and quit whether I could afford it or not. I had gotten so tired of the way that the associates were being treated that I couldn't take it any more and had to leave the company in the dust. The sad thing is, I had an evaluation on the same day that I quit and they were going to give me a .25 cent raise. It was the only evaluation that I had and would have been the ONLY raise that I would have gotten from them in the almost 3 years that I had worked there. Now, that's just sad!! The second time I worked for Walmart was from September 2004-June 2005. I really didn't want to go back to work for such a horrible company again, but I had moved away from my hometown to a much smaller town and it was the only place that happened to hire me. Besides, I thought that since it had been such a long time since the last time I worked there that maybe it would be different. Boy, was I wrong! It was the same sorry company that I had worked for before it was just in a smaller town this time. Walmart may have good prices and be a good place to shop, but your health and overall well being is more important than the stress and hardship that you have to go through while working for Walmart. It is NOT a good company to work for by all means and I would not recommend for anyone to apply for a job there. Heck, if I had a choice I wouldn't even shop there any more. But until a different retail store is built in my hometown ,hopefully that will be soon, I'll just have to deal with it. I don't like to shop there, but I do it anyway."

happyme19672003 replied: "My husband works at Walmart and he says you have to be in your position 6 months before you can get moved and it also depends on your evaluation. And no he is not crazy about Walmart."

can I apply online for WALMART jobs? I recently lost my job at a warehouse, and want to apply online for WALMART jobs.

Groove replied: "yes you can here the link"

Im a teenager and Im applying for jobs like McDonalds, walmart, simple jobs like that tomarrow and I need HELP? How should I dress and what are some things I should say to help me get the job?? HELP!

DER replied: "Dress clean and neat. Be sure to tell the interviewer how you like working with people and how you are looking forward to working for McDonalds'/Wal-mart/whichever company you are at."

vampirebret replied: "Usually when applying for a job, you only have to dress casually. You won't get to talk to any managers. All you are doing is simply getting an application. Now when you are called in for an interview, you want to dress to impress. You want to tell them good things about yourself...such as your strengths and what you are good at. Give them a good reason why you want to work for them."

Ranger4402 replied: "I would not go out and buy a business suit for these employers. But do not wear T-shirt, jeans and athletic shoes. Wear something business casual. Make sure you hair is combed and brush your teeth. When you are asked questions, answer each question in complete sentences. Say Yes or No versus Ya or Nah. Be specific about the kind of position you desire. Don't ask if any jobs are available. Be more specific such as: Wal Mart Do you have any positions stocking the merchandise or working at the checkout lines? McDonald's: Are you hiring for the drive thru or preparing food? Pizza Hut or Round Table: Do you need to hire any delivery drivers or pizza makers? Grocery Store: Are there any positions available for courtesy clerks or night crew? Show these people you want a specific job vs. any job. Next step: Learn something about these prospective employers. Show the hiriing managers you know something about the companies. Learn when they wre founded and how many locations they have in the US. What you need to do is stand out from everyone else."

What can you tell me about walmart loss prevention jobs? I'm thinking about applying? i don't have any retail experience. But i'm interested in catching the bad guys.

Team Chief replied: "My suggestion to you, and I'm serious about this, is to go to the local Wal-Mart, ask to speak to the Loss Prevention Manager, and talk to him/her about the job. After the conversation is over, if you're still interested in it then stop by the Customer Service Desk on the way out and fill out an application. But I gotta tell ya that there's a heck of a lot more to it than just "catching the bad guys." I've been in retail Loss Prevention for almost 11 years now, so I know what I'm talking about."

piegowdealer replied: "Sitting around all day watching maybe 20 vid screens- surveillance- is a boring job for me. I did it at a casino and hated it."

I know what I know replied: "Walmart has one of the least respect Loss Prevention programs in retail second to only Home Depot"

What are some jobs like 'Walmart Greeter' or 'Gnome Painter' or 'Mountain Namer'? Okay so whenever someone asks me what I want to be when I grow up, I say something stupid like "Professional Walmart Greeter" or "Professional Gnome Painter" or "Mountain Namer"...well, I want something new to say! Can you think of some really random/pointless/stupid/lame jobs like the examples above? Please help! :) (btw, seriously, I want to be a psychologist or a veterinarian)

Mac_Brey replied: "poet. I have never heard of anyone who was just a poet... usually it's a job that pays... and poet."

afk replied: "Cupcake connoisseur."

Peyton B replied: "burrito taster"

Bruce Springsteen is selling CDs only at Walmart. Is the liberal in favor of low-wages & sending jobs to China? (I'm talking about Bruce's exclusive deal to sell a Greatest Hits CD only at Walmart.) Doesn't Walmart take advantage of millions of poor and underpaid Americans? Doesn't Walmart also contribute to sending sooooo many jobs to China ? Are liberals far less concerned about those things when they can get rich by supporting such "travesties" --- low wages, jobs to China?

The South Will Rise Again replied: "LOL.. for liberals it all boils down to one thing. MONEY..That is their only GOD..."

zach replied: "communist bastards"

Keith K replied: "libs will do anything for $$$$."

Yea i'm a liberal replied: "i am in favor of anyone making an honest living"

Steve M replied: "I think Walmart should stop selling them"

truthistrue8 replied: "Others have done that too like the Eagles. Its not a new thing. How does Wal mart take advantage of people? They don't have to work or shop there. I shop at Wal mart all the time. You can buy the same stuff at other places & pay more & its still made in China"

Olan Black replied: "news flash, he said he made a big mistake. also understand that business deals that entertainers make are driven by their agents, so the bottom line is they make the best deal for the most amount of money"

Sleeping Gypsy replied: "Maybe that is what Bruce is about. But not me. I don't and will NEVER shop there. Or anywhere like it. And for the responders above.... Greed? Hypocrisy? ROFLMAO. And Bush was what? Generous and Sincere? Puhlease!"

Why Don't People Like Me? 2 replied: "I'm just shocked that Bruce hasn't written an Anti Wal Mart song."

ZINGER replied: "Obama loves public education BUT sends his brats to private school Most liberals LOVE unions, but wouldn't be caught dead in a union made American car Obama smokes 2 packs a day and lies about it Obama cranks the thermostat to 80 in the white house - tells the rest of us to wear a sweater Al Gore has a nicer jet than the one Citibank was forbidden to buy Liberals - do you expect anything less?"

Angel Of Death replied: "As long as it puts more Money in his pocket.I saw today he said that his exclusive deal with Wal-Mart was a "mistake" Seriously, how hard was it for his people to research whether they should do it or not?The lieberals have been bashing Wal Mart since back when Hillary was on their Board of Directors.I guess employing 1.4 million Americans, and bringing in Billions in Tax Revenue is a Bad Thing."Bad Wal Mart,Bad!!" He did it for one reason, and one reason only,$$$$$$$$ Then they called him on it,and now it's a "mistake" Typical Lieberal.Wonder if he avoids paying his taxes like half the Rich Liberals as well? AD"

GOP 2.0 replied: "Yeah I don't get it. Xtina sold her last album exclusively at Target... BUT SHE'S A ****!!!!"

Receiver of Light replied: "How does Walmart send jobs to China??? They don't MAKE the crap they sell, dummy!"

tommysgirl replied: "my union job went to china 6 years ago. have not been able to find a good one since then. who cares what bruce does, it's his business, not yours."

in2alot replied: "What was he thinking (or not thinking) ?? I won't be buying that CD."

How old do you have to be for walmart loss prevention jobs? Does it differ between the USA or Canada

Jim S replied: "Probably 18 years old. But I don't know that for sure."

Nightrider replied: "I can only say for the USA, but it would be at least 18 years old. The main thing loss prevention looks for is not the age of the person, but any experience the person may have that will help show them you are knowledgable in looking for and catching thieves in action. Most loss prevention in commercial stores is NOT by the public, but by employees who size up the store and look for the weak points where they can steal. Best of luck and I hope this is useful to you"

yeah replied: "Loss Prevention is now called Asset Protection at most Wal-Mart locations. As far as I know Wal-Mart only hires 18+ in the US, I am not sure in Canada. If you have a Wal-Mart Distribution Center near by, apply there first. I worked Asset Protection for a Wal-Mart Distribution, and made $17.65, at the store it would be $9. Many Wal-Mart stores now hire outside security, not Wal-Mart Associates."

What are some ways for teens around 16 to make money, other than actual jobs such as McDonald's, and Walmart? I need money. I need some for when I go to college, I need some for other things that benefit me and things that I want as well. But, I'm broke, except for $100 in the bank. I want useful suggestions on how a teen around 16 can get a decent amount of money, without getting an actual job.

Brandon C replied: "If you want money you have to work for it. Plain and Simple, unless you have rich parents that will give you money, which I presume you don't. If you mean an actual job is a job where you actually have to apply for, then you can do other things like babysit, mow lawns, paint, rake leaves, shovel snow and stuff like that."

Yvette B replied: "Try working on the Internet! My company, e.g., is Free to join and you only must be 13. On Jan. 5 we are opening a new Mall where you can buy/sell our products, your products (like on eBay) and earn commissions. Start a downline of your friends and increase your earnings! greengreen4u@rocketmail.com replied: "You can try this site You take short surveys and get paid. It is great for teens Everything is free :)"

Will Senator Clinton push Walmart to switch to American manufacturers - creating more jobs for Americans? Or does it mean she intends to provide more jobs for people living in the PRC? Right Phil, but I think I heard her say "We'll create more jobs." It's more complicated than the greedy Conservatives, unfortunately.

Adam P replied: "Walmart will more likely Push Senator Clinton out of the White House."

Bobby replied: "She won't try to make Wallmart do anything, and neither will any other candidate. If you think the jobs going to China are her fault, you're an idiot. What has George Bush done to stop it? His rich CEO Republican backers have been moving our jobs overseas for years now, in search of bigger profits."

blackbutterfly413 replied: "I dont think that there is anything anyone can do about Walmart. They save people money, which is why so many people shop there. I go there because I'm on a budget, and sometimes I have to. They have the best grocery prices."

Quinn22 replied: "With what, the military. Sorry but that little thing called the constitution kinds of gets in the way. I am sure you would like to have that inconvenient little piece of paper shredded but one day you might grow up and understand its importance to everyone."

Brad V replied: "She will not do that simply because it would step on Chinese toes if she did ! Since the Chinese already own the Clinton's, they wouldn't dare offend their political benefactor !"

Demogirl replied: "Doubtful the only thing she'll be pushing at Walmart is a snow shovel"

Lucky 50 replied: "Well its not really just her to do it !! It's any one that has the power to do it ! Not just Wal Mart But All dollor stores and General Dollor etc We do need Our jobs back home But we also have to know if we do get them back (if ever ) The price is going to be higher and wages lower , I would work for less if I knew I would be taken care of as in my Medical etc I don't mind getting less as long as I don't have to spend 3.50 for a gallon of gas Its a big circle If We get less the the owners of this Huge stores will profit less also so we would really have to work together on this If we want our Jobs back ( I do ) Then we will have to settle for less and quite OUR ''WANTS and think about our needs more ,, And stop thinking your to special to work , and teach our Kids HOW TO WORK ,,and Want to work !!"

stockyboynyc replied: "China will always have cheap manufacturing plants. It will have nothing to do with Hillary."

jeeper_peeper321 replied: "Well Hillary was on the Board of Directors of Walmart, When Walmart stopped thier ' BUY America " campaign and started buying from China. Seems she might have pushed for that, when she worked for Walmart, if she ever was."

phil8656 replied: "Politicians don't provide jobs. It is not Washington sending our jobs to PRC. It is the conservative voters who put greedy republicans in office who are doing it."
